About me & this Atlas
Hi, I’m
Michael Meierhoff.
Software developer and software architect.
Curious about systems. Looking for clarity.
Understand complexity.
Make connections visible.
For more than 20 years, I have developed and shaped software and complex systems. My path led from avionics through a degree in computer science into software development and architecture.
I am interested in how individual decisions shape a system: its structure, behaviour and ability to change. I work with Domain Driven Design, event-driven systems, cloud platforms and knowledge systems.
This curiosity has led to the Software Architecture Atlas. Here you can find structured knowledge, recognise connections and gain orientation for your own task.

Why an atlas?
Because a good explanation
also shows the connections.
Requirements, data, communication and operations shape a design together. The Atlas makes these perspectives accessible through structured topics, concrete examples and an architecture process that brings them together.
The project grows step by step. Here you will find 88 developed building blocks and 8 process stations. Learning paths and an English edition are planned for later.
